It might look like the color of Shrek, but it tastes amazing. This is a great after workout or on-the-go smoothie that will refuel and help to build muscle tone. I was much more active hiking around during a recent trip to Colorado and now I’ve caught the travel bug. Exploring around Pike’s Peak, Garden of the Gods, and Seven Falls was nothing short of exhilarating. Next time I’m on an outdoor expedition, I’ll be pouring this smoothie into a canister for a boost along the way. Check out the easy recipe below.
Climb A Mountain Smoothie
- 1 half avocado
- 1 cucumber
- 1/2 cup curly green kale
- 5 – 7 large strawberries (fresh or frozen)
- 1 scoop plant based protein powder (I usually use Nutvia Hemp protein or Plant Fusion Complete Plant Protein but like to switch it up)
- Coconut water or water to desired consistency (more water for thinner smoothie, less water for thicker smoothie)
